Last Thursday, the Middle School team went on a coach to the Canbury tournament.
It was supposed to be six aside but two people didn’t come as they didn’t want to play. So we only had one sub. Luckily, the other team was also missing a player and were one man down. This meant we had to take one person off our team and ended up with two subs.
The first game we won 4-0! Alex Park scored a hat-trick and then the last one as well. He was a brilliant player. The next match we lost 4-2. Sadly this included an own goal but we would have lost anyway. The last match we won 5-2! I scored two goals in that match. Also, Uzair scored.
I think the thing I’d probably change about the match was that we got there too late for a warm up. But we did have an extra practice match the day before which helped.
Mr Tait said that we showed off the school with pride and he can’t wait to take us all out again.
